1. What questions do you ask your customer when they order a strip door?

What is the width and height of the opening?
Are you mounting above the door jamb or inside the jamb?
What kind of traffic will be going through the opening?
Interior or exterior doorway?

2. What chemicals are PVC strips resistant to?

Here is our chemical resistance chart for PVC materials.

3. What size fasteners are used to mount hardware to existing openings?

We do not provide fasteners due to the many types of building and door framing materials.

4. What size are the holes punched that are in the PVC strips?

3/8” (they are punched on 2” centers).

5. Is there a minimum order volume?

Our complete strip door minimum is $60. There is no minimum on replacement parts.

6. How long has Aleco been in business?

Aleco has been in business since November, 1977. ES Robbins Corporation celebrates its 40 year anniversary in 2007.

7. What is the difference between Standard Ribbed and Scratch-Guard?

Scratch-Guard is a ribbed material with bumpers on 1” centers instead of 2” centers, with the offset ribbed.

8. Does Aleco have a re-stocking fee?

Aleco charges a 15% re-stocking fee in the event of cancelled orders.

9. Does Aleco sell impact doors?

Yes, Aleco sells impact doors for both Industrial and Food Service applications.

10. How long is a quotation good for?

A quoted price is good for 30 days.

11. What temperature does “Standard Smooth” withstand?

“Standard Smooth” can withstand temperatures between -10 degrees F and 150 degrees F.

12. What temperatures can “Low-Temp” withstand?

Low-Temp remains flexible in temperatures as low as -40 degrees F.

Sliding Partitions

1. How long will it take for my sliding partition to arrive?

Partitions usually ship in three weeks or less.

2. What colors are available for partitions?

Opaque colors are available in yellow, green, blue, black, red, and white formulated from vinyl coated polyester nylon.
Transparent colors available are clear, Aztec orange, yellow and green. Click here to see color samples.

3. What weights of the opaque material are available?

Fourteen and twenty-two ounces.

4. How are the grommets spaced across the top on standard orders?

Grommets are placed on 12” centers unless specified otherwise.

5. What mounting options are available for the sliding partitions?

Mounting options are threaded rod, beam mount, and floor mount. Click here for more information.

6. Is the material flame resistant?

Yes. It is California State Fire Marshall certified.

7. Which transparent materials are best for welding applications?
